HIGH LEVEL GOALS

Improve the efficiency of store personnel through intuitive mobile applications that allow better order and inventory visibility, advanced order picking and efficient ship-from-store capabilities.

CHALLENGES

Allison, Fulfillment associates

  • Help Allison to find her priority tasks quickly by providing her dashboard visualization.

  • Provide a system guided batch pick feature so that Allison does not have to walk the same aisles or make multiple trips.

Linda, Store Manager

  • Help Linda to choose the optimal batch picking methods for retailers’ seasonal and special needs.

MY TEAM

4 UX designers, 1 Solution architect, 2 Product mangers, 3 Tech sales, and 30+ Developers and testers.

  • Daily collaboration with multidisciplinary team in three time zones.

  • Design of role based dashboards addressing scalability.

  • Contextual inquiry.

DURATION

Over 3 year for multiple releases and multiple enhancements.

OUTCOME

Customers listed above signed with IBM and rolled out Store for their order fulfillment. We also made continuous design enhancements and new features requested by customers.

Sterling Store was one of the most profitable solutions in IBM Watson Commerce in 2014 till until I left in 2019.
